  • Gwen's song was far more "country" than 90% of the music that was on the show. She did just fine - stayed on pitch and smiled. It helped a lot that she had a great country band, with a steel player (!), behind her. Kudos to Ms. Paltrow for her performance.

  • Here, in Colorado, they're called "zonkeys!" We also have "zorses," which are a zebra-horse hybrid. They're being bred in Grand Junction. Cute little critters, aren't they?

  • I had a lisp as a kid - and my first & last names each had an "s" in them! My best friend's mom was a speech therapist and every time I went over to play, she'd hiss at me like a snake and expect me to hiss back.
